What a Demo Trading App Does

A demo trading app is a practice version of a broker's trading platform. It gives you a virtual balance, so you can place trades and test strategies without using your own money. The prices and charts usually move in the same way as the live platform, but no real PKR is at risk.

For a trader in Pakistan, this is useful before making a first deposit. You can learn how the order screen works, how payouts are shown, and how fast the platform responds on your phone. A demo account does not prove how withdrawals will work later, but it does show whether the app itself is easy to use.

Most brokers in this comparison offer demo access through their own platform. Deriv also supports MT5 and TradingView, which may suit traders who want a more familiar charting setup. Pocket Option supports MT4 and MT5 alongside its own app.

What a demo cannot show is the full experience of live trading. Real deposits, withdrawal processing, and the pressure of losing your own money are different. Treat a demo as a training tool, not as a preview of guaranteed results.

Which Brokers Offer a Trading App Demo Account

All ten brokers in this comparison list Android and iOS among their platforms, and all also offer a web version. That means you can usually start a demo on your phone or in a browser before deciding whether to download anything.

Stockity, Deriv, Pocket Option, Quotex, IQ Option, Olymp Trade, Binomo, Expert Option, Exnova and BinaryCent each have their own platform. Deriv is the only one that also lists TradingView, while Pocket Option is the only one that lists both MT4 and MT5.

A demo account is normally separate from a live account. You may need to register with an email address to open one. The broker's app will then give you a virtual balance. Some brokers reset the balance on request, while others let you top it up inside the app.

When you compare apps, pay attention to the minimum trade size. Deriv lists a minimum trade of 0.35 USD, BinaryCent lists 0.1 USD, and the others list 1 USD. These figures are for live trading, but they tell you how small a position the platform is built to handle.

Demo Trading App vs Live Trading in Pakistan

The main difference is the money. In a demo, nothing you win or lose is real. In live trading, your deposit is converted into the broker's base currency and your balance moves with each trade.

For Pakistan, the practical question is how you would fund a live account. The payment routes listed in this comparison are bank transfer, mobile wallets, cards, and USDT. Bank transfer works through 1LINK or Raast. Mobile wallets mean JazzCash and Easypaisa, usually through a payment partner. Cards are Visa and Mastercard, subject to your bank's international limit. USDT is usually TRC-20 and is often the fastest route when a card is declined.

Minimum deposits vary. Deriv and Pocket Option list 5 USD. Stockity, Quotex, IQ Option, Olymp Trade, Binomo, Expert Option and Exnova list 10 USD. BinaryCent lists 250 USD, which is much higher than the rest.

A demo account lets you test the platform before you deal with any of these payment routes. That is its main value in Pakistan, where a declined international card can delay a first deposit. You can learn the app first, then decide whether the funding options suit you.

How to Pick the Best Demo Trading App for You

Start with the platform you will actually use. If you trade mostly on a phone, check that the app is available for your operating system. Every broker in this list offers Android and iOS, so the difference is in how the app feels, not whether it exists.

Then look at the payout range. The maximum payout percentages in this comparison are: - Deriv: 100% - Quotex: 98% - IQ Option: 95% - Olymp Trade: 95% - Expert Option: 95% - Pocket Option: 92% - Exnova: 92% - Stockity: 90% - Binomo: 90% - BinaryCent: 92%

These are maximum figures, not what every trade pays. A demo account is a good place to see how the payout changes from one asset to another and from one trade length to another.

Finally, consider the minimum deposit for when you move to live trading. If you want to start small, Deriv and Pocket Option list the lowest minimum deposit at 5 USD. If you prefer a higher starting balance, BinaryCent's 250 USD minimum is the highest in this list.

No single app is best for everyone. The right choice depends on whether you want MT5 or TradingView support, how small you want your first live deposit to be, and which app you find easiest to read on your screen.

Regulation and Warnings to Check Before You Trade

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan licenses securities and futures brokers of the local exchanges. It does not license offshore forex and fixed-time platforms. That means the brokers in this comparison are not SECP-licensed for the products they offer on these apps.

Some of these brokers hold licences in other countries. Deriv lists MFSA 70156, Labuan FSA MB/18/0024, and VFSC company No. 14556. Pocket Option lists MISA (Mwali) T2022086. IQ Option lists CySEC 247/14 for the EEA. Olymp Trade lists VFSC company No. 40131 and membership of the Financial Commission. Binomo lists IFC (FinaCom) Category A. Expert Option lists membership of the Financial Commission.

Quotex and Exnova have no licence found in any register read for this comparison. BinaryCent also has no licence found in any register read for this comparison, and it carries warnings including a VFSC notice of fraud, a CFTC red-list entry, an AMF blacklist entry, and an FMA NZ warning.

There is also a specific warning for Pakistan. In April 2025, the SECP issued a press release naming Qxbroker, which is Quotex, as unauthorised. The SECP referred the matter to the FIA, the PTA and Google. This does not mean every offshore platform is the same, but it shows that the SECP has acted against at least one name in this list.

Before you open any account, demo or live, check the broker's current standing yourself. A demo account carries no deposit risk, but the broker you practise with may be the broker you later deposit with. Read the warnings, check the registers, and do not assume that a polished app means a licensed operator.

Questions readers ask

Yes. A demo account uses virtual money, so you do not need to deposit PKR or any other currency to practise. You may need to register with an email address. The brokers in this comparison list Android, iOS and web platforms, so a free demo is usually available on all three.
